This historical stone farm house, almost 200 years old located in heart of Istria, was enthusiastically renovated with great style and thought on bringing the beauty of landscape and historical wisdom of locals closer to you. Come taste it! The space This stone-built typical Istrian house origins from 1848 and it used to be a farmer's house until not so long time ago. There was cattle in the basement and the upper floors were used to spare hay for the winter. The central part was used by the family as their home. The house was abandoned and started to fall apart over decades. There were blackberries and bushes grown all over it, when we found this place. The project owner saw the beauty and potential of this secluded place and it's natural surroundings. It took quite some time and lots of effort to rebuilt this house and preserve its authentic style. Like all the precious gems, it needed lots of fine grinding and careful polishing to fully shine. Today this beautiful residence shines in all it's beauty. Still full of nostalgic memories and local stories, but offers you the commodity of modern spaces to relax and enjoy your vacation. ARRANGEMENT This is the listing for complete property of Aquileia Residence. You will get arrangement that can comfortably accommodate 22 people. This renovated Istrian "mansion" consists of 5 luxury apartments in total 409 m2 of indoor living space, on top of that each apartment has large private garden with patio. On the back side of the property you have large pool (58m 2) with barbecue, lounge area and recreational greens for leisure sports, so you can get the most out of your vacation. Residence is perfectly suited for larger groups, wedding parties, family reunions, team buildings and corporate retreats. It's 60m2 large and comprises: • Ground floor (living area, kitchen with dinning table, half bathroom under stairs), • Private garden with patio on the front side, • 1st floor (Bedroom 1 with double bed, Bedroom 2 with bunk bed, Bathroom with tub). APARTMENT 2 Salty Skin - Apt. 2 - is the smallest of 5 apartments in the building. ABOUT THE PROJECT The owner of the house is in love with Istria since his first visit! Mild climate, tasty food, perfect olive oil and great local wines and the historic footprints that Venetians left at the times of Venetian Republic. It resembles to "a little Tuscany"! How not to love such a beautiful place on earth, with its blue and crystal clear Adriatic sea, a smell of lavender in the air, local restaurants that offer truffles and asparaguses and all those beautiful views of the Istrian hills. As he found these ruins of the historic property, it all seemed like a hidden treasure to him. In his imagination this property already was a true Istrian mansion. With a thorough reconstruction, a lot of work and his love of cultural heritage of Istria, he put it back to life! Guest access The residence is located in small settlement of Martinčići, surrounded by peaceful nature and some of the most picturesque and culturally rich cities of Istria. You can enjoy and relax in the sounds of the nature or go around exploring cities or searching for an adventure hiking, biking, rock climbing, driving with quad bikes etc. It's a perfect place to enjoy nature, outdoors, cultural heritage and delicious local cuisine. EARLY CHECKIN - LATE CHECKOUT Only applicable when arranged min. 7 days before your arrival. Must contact me in advance if you'd like to use this option! For the early birds coming to town before 16:00 I can arrange an early luggage drop off, so you can leave your luggage secured and start exploring the area immediately on your arrival. For late out birds, leaving after 10:00 I can arrange a late luggage pickup, so you can leave your luggage secured and enjoy the easy stroll through the country until your departure. LATE NIGHT ARRIVALS Late arrivals are not a problem, just let me know in advance! You have to contact me a few days before your arrival. I'll try to do my best to help you as much as I can, but can't guarantee you anything outside the scheduled times. Other things to note You have free WiFi, communal pool and large green area to enjoy! There is a security deposit of 1.500€ that will be reserved on your credit card. The deposit is returned to you 48h after your check-out. Apartment has all the amenities you need, including coffee machine, fireplace and mini bar. Due to local laws, you have to send me a copy of your ID/passport documents with picture, name, surname, date of birth, country and document's number, so I can send the data to police and tourist office. The copy of legal documents is mandatory for all guests visiting Croatia. You have to send me a valid copy of your documents with all the necessary data before your arrival, otherwise I'll have to cancel your reservation! Tourist tax is included in price. Property is located in a small village, surrounded by nature and few farmhouses, so expect a quiet and peaceful, natural surroundings. Stone walls are cold and a comon hidding for earwigs, centipedes, moths, spiders and scorpions. All the animals in Istria are non-leathal, except if you are allergic to them.
