Little Big Sky - Garden Suite Close to Downtown

Clean & modern garden apartment in a renovated walkout basement with large windows and plenty of comfort. Centrally located: 5 minutes to I-5, less than 5 minutes from St. Peter Hospital, only 10 minutes to St. Martin's University, and about 15 minutes to Evergreen State College. The space The 600+ sq ft apartment at Little Big Sky is a walkout basement with a private carport and entrance. It has large windows overlooking a lawn and garden. Although the home was built in 1953, the apartment was renovated in 2015, so it has modern amentities with vintage charm. The open concept living space serves as a dining room, office, and den. PLEASE NOTE: - This is an apartment under our primary residence. You will hear footsteps and other household noise. Most guests consider the space comfortable and peaceful. However, if you are sensitive to noise and/or are uncomfortable with shared walls, this will not be a good fit. - A neighboring lot is under development, and there is currently machinery noise during the day, usually weekdays. Unfortunately, we cannot predict when there will be noise from the demolition and construction. The kitchen is equipped with: a refrigerator, an electric hot plate, a countertop toaster oven (with small baking sheets and pizza pans), pots and saucepans, a toaster, a kettle, a french press, basic cooking utensils, knives, flatware, plates, bowls, serving ware, glassware, and cleaning supplies. We also provide a stocked tea & coffee station (with locally roasted coffee!) and we supply basic cooking ingredients, like salt, pepper, spices, and cooking oil. And if you need something else, we live just upstairs! The bathroom is equipped with a hair dryer, bath towels, hand towels, face towels, toilet paper (a couple rolls), shampoo, and soap. The living area features a 40 inch high definition TV, a Blu-ray DVD player, an Xfinity Flex box for streaming, a DVD library, a book library, a full-sized sofa bed, an iron & ironing board, a desk, and a bar-height dining table with two stools. The streaming capabilities on the DVD player and Flex box allow you access use your own streaming accounts (Netflix, Hulu, etc.). Note: we do not offer cable, but are happy to suggest some streaming services if you're looking for something specific during your stay. (Most services come with a free trial period.) The bedroom has a queen-sized bed with a memory foam mattress, a closet with hangers, extra linens and blankets, and a four-drawer dresser. An on-site, private (not shared) washer & dryer is available for guests to use for free. We supply minimal laundry supplies (soap, etc.), so if you're joining us for a long stay, please bring your own (or buy some when you get here). We do not have a land-line phone, dishwasher, or standard range oven. Guest access Guests will have access to the apartment, a private carport, and the lawns and garden adjacent to the apartment. Other things to note It's important to note that we live above the apartment, so we cannot provide a completely isolated & noise-free stay. You will probably hear our little ones playing during the day, but the ceiling in the basement apartment has been built with sound insulation to cut this down as much as possible. Our quiet hours are 10pm-7am, which is when we do our best to keep noise away from our guests. We are happy to receive packages & occassional mail during your stay (and deliver them in a timely manner), but if you expect a lot of mail and are looking for a private mailbox, we can suggest some nearby options at local post offices or mail centers. We ask that all pet guests need to be friendly. We have a strict pet policy, so please inquire about pet policy details before booking if you plan to bring a pet. Bringing a kiddo?
