Briar Lane - Suite 2
Description
Unit 2 is a light and airy space sleeping up to 4 people in country cottage style. The upstairs bedroom features sweeping views over farmland to the Western Tiers and Poatina. There is also a single bed in the downstairs kitchen/dining area with breathtaking views out through the orchard to the mountains. Relax in the country style lounge room while you watch the horses frolicking in the next door paddock. Around dusk you might even spot our 2 pairs of hares in the garden. The space Suite 2 is located in the red brick house which sits opposite the original historic homestead, Briar Lane House, and separated from it by the rose garden. It is a light filled space with an attic bedroom which has sweeping views across farmland to the Great Western Tiers. The attic has a double and a single bed in it, and there is an additional single bed in the lounge area downstairs. The staircase is quite steep, so we would suggest Suite 1 would be a better option for guests with mobility issues. The kitchen is fully equipped, there is reverse cycle air conditioning and the walls display original artworks by the family. It is situated amongst 5 acres of manicured gardens which you are welcome to explore, or laze about on the sun loungers and watch the cows, horses and hares. Guest access Guests are also welcome to wander through the gardens and make use of the BBQ facilities. Let us know if you wish to picnic in the grounds and we will set up some tressel tables where you wish. Other things to note There is also a second house at Briar Lane which is the original 1826 homestead, along with a separate artists gallery/workshop space. The homestead is separated from the suites by the rose garden, and our art gallery sits adjacent to the homestead. Therefore, there will be other guests/artists coming and going, but all areas tend to keep to themselves. The gallery is not open to public foot traffic from the street, but guests are welcome to wander through if the door is open. Registration Details 76704181
