Huon Valley View Cabin near Cygnet

Private, self-contained cabin in the Huon Valley close to Cygnet (7 min), Bruny Island & Hobart (50 min), Hartz Mountain National Park & World Heritage Area (1 hr). Bush surrounds, stunning views of the Huon River & Hartz mountains. Beaches, bushwalking, markets, relax by the fire or on the deck & admire the view. Markets every week in the valley, including the Cygnet market 1st & 3rd Sunday of the mth, Willie Smith's Artisan & Farmers Market every Saturday, 10-1. The space The cabin is one large space, with a queen bed, lounge & kitchen area in one and divided by a bathroom with a separate corner space for the single bed. Bright, airy and roomy inside with double doors opening onto the deck. Wood fire set & ready to go, abundance of wood at your fingertips and back up heat-pump for instant warmth if needed. Kitchenette has a microwave, induction cooktops, bench-top oven & bar fridge. Pantry has condiments, fresh coffee beans or instant and a selection of tea-bags. Loo with a view in the bathroom and a barbeque outside with a seating area is adjacent to the studio for your sole use. Kids are welcome and in addition to the single bed we can supply a porta-cot or a mattress on the floor and extra bedding. Just let us know what you need. There is a full size Smart TV and access to Netflix. We have super fast NBN for all your internet needs and excellent mobile phone reception. The studio is private and separate from the main house. The old apple boxes outside the deck might have something fresh growing for you to pick to eat - unless the possums have been! We also have extensive veggie gardens and love to share our produce. Just let us know if you'd like something. We will offer eggs if our girls are laying. Wander around the garden, walk to the river; or relax and enjoy the view! Guest access Full access to the studio and gardens and 18 acres of bush. You are welcome to drop into the house should you have any questions. We are always available and happy to help. We welcome well-behaved dogs. There is a large area around the cabin, the main house and gardens that is fenced and a separate fenced area for our two dogs. Your dog is welcome to wander during the day, supervised (snake season October - March). Other things to note We aim for minimal waste and ask that you use the bins provided for compost and recycling. We may also have a small bin on the bench for when you have very little rubbish. We provide a tea selection, fresh coffee beans, grinder and stove top coffee maker, or instant coffee. Please ask if you'd like full cream milk. You'll find olive oil, salt & pepper, soap, shampoo, conditioner, tissues, toilet paper, glad wrap and foil. The nearest shop is our fabulous IGA in Cygnet, 6.5 kms away, for your own supplies. You are welcome to anything on the shelves in the kitchen area. We have solar hot water and rainwater tanks for your personal use. Thank you for using wisely. The fire is a wood heater and is very efficient. Let us know if you need to know how the vents work. Alternatively, there is also an electric heat pump to warm you up (or cool you down on a hot day). On a sunny day, the sun will adequately warm the cabin and you might find you won't need any heating till later in the day. A washing machine, laundry detergent and fabric conditioner are provided.
