We proudly present you our little piece of paradise, which has been published in many interior design magazines. If you're looking for an authentic Mallorquín feel, you have then found the right place. Our 1930’s village townhouse, with green patio and private pool, is situated in the peaceful and quiet countryside of Mallorca, in the authentic village of Montuiri. Here you will find pure relaxation, serenity and beauty! Our 160 m2 house contains three bedrooms (two bathrooms) and spreads out over two floors. The house has large windows and high ceilings, which is atypical for Spanish village house architecture. The smooth flow of white floors and walls bear the mix of old Spanish architecture and an eclectic interior design. The heart of the house is the big open kitchen which is extended by the outdoor dining area. It offers a welcoming vibe that encourages togetherness with family and friends. Stepping further outside you are expected by a surprisingly green tropical garden full of color in the Spring with overgrowing Banana tree, Pencil cactus, Bougainvillea and Oleander bushes. When the shimmering midday heat rises, you can dip into the pool and refresh yourself in this cooling natural oasis. The ground floor welcomes you with a big entrance hall from where the first bedroom is to be accessed. The bedroom contains a desk and a comfy 140x200 cm double bed. Similar to many mallorquine townhouses, the upper floor is accessed by stairs carved out of stone which lead to the living room and the two bedrooms. The smaller bedroom contains two single beds (90x200 cm). Following the birds singing you enter the master bedroom with an 160cm double bed, an en-suite bathroom and a reading room. From the reading room's chaise longue you look over the rooftops to the Tramontana mountains and is the perfect haven for dreaming. From the reading room you step onto the balcony above the courtyard gardens below. Here a square Thai bed was fitted to space by a local carpenter and has extra high stilts. Like this you overlook the highly proliferating plants and enjoy a sundowner. We created a sanctuary that pairs old Spanish architecture with eclectic design for a truly personal look. The village of Montuiri is located far away from mass tourism, in the central plains and hills of the island. It is 20 min drive away from Palma, 15 min from the airport and 25 min from the natural beach of Es Trenc. The quiet village of Montuiri is built on the hill like a bee stock. You can find within walking distance bakeries, supermarkets, banks, a pharmacy, restaurants (including L’Hostal which serves the famous Mallorquín Pa amb oli) and a wonderful Monday market which provides a great array of fresh, regional products. Montuiri is a historic medieval town characterised by the famous seven windmills at its crest. The local museum in Son Fornes is definitely worth a visit to see how village life has existed here for centuries. Parking: You can park your car in the streets around the house. No parking stress!
