In 1988, the Warmenhuizen cyclist Steven Rooks won the Bolletjestrui in the Tour de France. Together with his buddy Gert Jan Theunisse, they won the hearts of many cycling enthusiasts. Before the 1988 Tour, Rooks was sitting at the bar in Café de Klok. The then owner promised him to paint his pub yellow if he won the Tour. Rooks came in 2nd and won the Bolletjestrui. Since then, there has been a Bolletjescafe in Warmenhuizen. In 2015, this became a restaurant. Now you can also spend the night there. The space Beautiful cozy apartment, equipped with all the luxuries, and of course free WiFi. Within cycling distance of Schoorl and Bergen, beach and forest. The beautiful cities of Schagen and Alkmaar are easily accessible. Guest access Restaurant "Bolletjescafe de Klok" has the coffee ready for you. We also provide breakfast in the room for €10 per person. To reach our room and bedroom, you have to go up a flight of stairs. Other things to note There is no cooking facility. The rooms are located above the Bolletjescafe/restaurant, which is open until 2 a.m. on weekends, downstairs you can eat delicious food and sit comfortably. Also try our own brewed Bolletjes beer!!
