Access to Gezira village and ferry to East Bank, by walking (cooler months), taxi or Tuk Tuk. Use of pool in Gezira Village on way to and fro ferry and East Bank. The space Away from hotels and main roads. Set in traditional Egyptian village. Situated on peaceful lane surrounded by palm trees and banana fields. Watch the beautiful Egyptian sunset from the roof set to the haunting Call to Prayer. If you wake early watch the colourful balloons drift over to the Theban Hills. Tuk Tuk drivers will give you their mobile numbers and for a couple of English pounds be happy to pick you up to take you to the ferry or motor boats if you want to go via Gezira Village to the East Bank. Gezira Village is just a ten minute walk away and there are lots of restaurants where you can dine well and cheaply. The apartment is managed by Jane and Mahmoud who run Flats in Luxor. They live close by and are always at the end of a phone to assist. Jane is an experienced Egyptologist and can arrange any trips and visits and give help and guidance if needed, as well as organising airport pickups, either Luxor or Hurghada or railway station. Guest access Guests at Arabesque House are welcome to use the pool at the Flats in Luxor Gezira Village property half way between the apartment and the ferry.
