PalmHouse, Cosy Kingsbridge studio couple /Family

A unique very light airy studio flat with beds to accommodate 5 people(family or couple). Well located/great access to local beaches, 14 min drive to Salcombe, Bantham, Bigbury, Hope Cove, 25min toTotnes/rail to London. Wifi, TV, DVD. Peaceful & calm. The double mezzanine bed is up a steep ladder and has very restricted head height so requires some agility. The two single bed pods are comfortable. The lower bed pod; suitable for a child/teen has restricted head height. It has free street parking The space Palm House-it is a very quirky studio annexe with a mezzanine double bed, 2 single sleeping pods and a step down to a single bedroom with low head height. It has a small kitchenette with an electric hob, fridge freezer and microwave. Also a large walk in power shower in the bathroom which is up 5 steps. Free WiFi , It has a free view TV which you can use your own amazon prime or Netflix account to log in to. It is a short walk to the centre of kingsbridge and has a very sunny south facing decked area for sole use and watching amazing sunsets. Off street parking available if needed on special request otherwise there is abundant free street parking. The Palm House was renovated over 3 months of the first covid lockdown from April to June 2020, mostly by us, so it was a positive that grew out of the pandemic. We mostly used recycled and up cycled materials as our planet and preserving it has become a really important part of our lives. The accommodation is very straightforward, quirky and hopefully very comfortable for you. Due to the layout, we suggest it suits a couple and children or 3 single adults.Please feel free to offer any recommendations for improvements. There are lots of cooking pots, pans etc , spare blankets in the trunk, but please request if you need anything. TEA/COFFEE This is complimentary in the labelled pots on the kitchen shelf. HEATING There is a plug in radiator next to the church pew( plug behind the pew) We also have another plug in radiator if needed. WiFi :- just need to login TV:- it is a Netflix system, you fill need your own account. The password is 33333352 SHOWER:- This is a great power shower and automatically heats up the water. The main switch is outside the bathroom above the shelves in the kitchen area but this will probably be on. All you have to do is press the blue button on the unit, it will LED flash up the temperature . Please make sure you shut the end shower door and that water doesn’t flow over the top. HOT WATER:- the hot water tank is in the bathroom below the water tank, left hand side and provides hot water to the bathroom and kitchen sinks only. It takes about 10 minutes to heat up and does not need to remain on if you do not need hot water. The switch is in the left hand black box , a red light will show when it is on. Please note; it does not need to be turned on for the shower. HOB:- this is a 2 ring electric hob. Please turn on at wall behind the heat glass protector. Please turn off after use. MICROWAVE:- again, the plug is at the wall by the kettle. We tend to press start for 30 seconds repeatedly until it reaches your optimum time for use. FRIDGE:- this has a small freezer compartment also. HOOVER:- this is a handheld , found under the TV. The extender is behind the right curtain. IRON/ BOARD:-in the bathroom HAIRDRYER:- in the bathroom PETS- please let us know if you are bringing a pet with you. This is allowed by special arrangement at a cost of £15 per stay. TRAMPOLINE:- you can use the large trampoline in the front garden, but at your own risk as it has no net! RECYCLING, labelled boxes/bag which are by the bush on the pavement. A white plastic bag provided for all plastics, tin , Bottom black box for glass, paper , top box ; cardboard and brown caddy is for all food waste. It is important to us that we recycle as much as we can. There should be a timetable stating when the main bins outside the front of the house are taken away. It is usually a Thursday when any boxes will need to be re placed on the street. CHECK OUT:- this is 10am , we request you strip the bed/s and place it in the laundry bag. Please leave the mattress cover and pillow protectors on. THE DOOR KEY, is located in the key box. No Shoes inside please as the floor is covered in rugs. We ask that you bring your slippers for inside use please. Safe travels and remember to complete the review. Other things to note Can you bring your own towels as since Covid, the laundry does not accept our towels and we do not have a tumble dryer .
