Hotel Baron is newly built in a quiet area, below Smlednik Castle and Calvary, near Lake Zbilje. There is a shop, ATM and post office nearby. The rooms are modernly furnished, all have a bathroom with shower, TV, desk, wardrobe and balcony with views of the Karavanke or the Julian Alps. Nearby is also the Cubo Golf course, the Janhar riding center, and on Lake Zbilje you can rent a boat, paddleboard or kayak.
