Restored Barn in the Dordogne

A detached restored goat barn with spacious gardens, secluded patio area with barbeque and outside dining area, set amongst fruit trees and vines and just a ten minute walk from the Dordogne River. Set in a small hamlet but with great access to the many attractions the Dordogne has to offer, relaxing and fun family holidays are guaranteed. The space Indoors there are three bedrooms, two upstairs on the mezzanine floor and one downstairs. Bedroom Two has 2 single beds that can be made up as a double upon request, just let us know when you book. There is also a full size cot for infants. Both bedrooms upstairs have portable air conditioning units. There's a selection of children's toys at the property as well as a highchair should you require it. Let us know who's coming and we'll have it all set up for you. There’s an open plan kitchen/lounge/diner and separate utility area leading onto two bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a bath. The kitchen is well equipped and the lounge area comfortable for cooling off from the warm days or reclining in the evenings with a glass of delicious local wine. Carriole benefits from a peaceful countryside setting perfect for exploring by car, on foot or by bike. Yet you can quickly find civilization only a five minutes’ drive away where you can buy fresh bread and croissants, stop at the river side bar or hire kayaks in the nearby village. Saint-Emilion, Bergerac and Duras are all less than a 40 minute drive away, whilst you can find lakes and traditional French markets even closer to home.
