Wild Camping / Campervan at Acklam Farm Stays

You won’t find a better view or sunset anywhere else in Yorkshire. Wild Camping in our field, offers a 180 degree view that reaches as far as 70 miles. You can see the North Yorkshire Moors, The Howardian Hills, The Yorkshire Dales, The Peaks and The Wind Turbines in East Yorkshire, whilst sitting in your tent on The Yorkshire Wolds. If you ever wanted to put things in to perspective and see the bigger picture, this is the place to do it. The space Our Wild Camping is basic, bring your own tent, you'll have space & lots of it in our 17 acre field! We offer a tap with running drinking water which is approximately a 600-800 metre walk from where you’d pitch your tent or camper van. – Bring a water container to refill. We also have a compost loo in the field. Logs can be purchased for £8 a bag for use of a fire pit. All rubbish must be taken away with you, leaving the site as clean as when you first arrived. We do have sheep in the camping field, but they won’t bother you, but don't pitch right next to the sheep's water trough. Be aware that as there are sometimes sheep in the field depending on grazing rotations , there can be sheep poo from time to time. The neighbouring field has cows and calves, with a fence barrier you’ll be quite safe, but please give them a wide birth and don’t get too close. As we're a working farm, we cannot allow dogs.  Please note if you're wanting a boozy few nights away , this site is not for you, we welcome couples, families and solo travellers but we don't want people looking for a weekend of heavy boozing. The price is charged at £22 per pitch per night.
