Our ideal location to discover south east France

We're In the foothills of the Pyrenees with easy access to the sea, trekking in the mountains, cycling - and Spain. Our guests appreciate the calm; our village below; the views from our garden; the large pool; the jacuzzi; trampoline for the kids..... Breakfast is included, also an equipped 'summer kitchen'; table d'hôtes, and a restaurant nearby. With 3 adult rooms and 2 kids' rooms. peace and quiet and relaxation? Or adventure, good food and new experiences? Martine & Martin welcome you! The space Our modern 'Mas' has everything that you need for an idyllic holiday 'away from it all'. The 3 adult rooms open directly onto the garden and the pool and have double bed, aircon, bed linen, towels etc - and a television. Wifi is, of course, free. Each double room has a private bathroom/shower room. The two children's rooms have 2 single beds (and extra 'put-you-ups' if needed) and usually share the bathroom with their parents. Breakfast, served on the terrasse whenever you want it, has homemade bread, jam, fruit salad, juice and other things to start your day well nourished - be it spent lounging by the pool, or visiting the Med or the Pyrenees . A thick folder of places to visit, supplements the 'local knowledge' of M & M. Two bicycles are at your disposal - for the more energetic visitors. For your lunch or dinner, there is an equipped 'summer kitchen' which has bbq, hot plate and microwave, plus all 'accessories'. A fridge/freezer (and a washing machine) is also at your disposal. In the evening, if too much cooking disturbs your relaxation, table d'hôtes can be reserved - or there is a restaurant close by. As the photos show, you can eat and/or swim 'after dark' in the illuminated pool! Our small village has no commerce, but Fourques with shops and garage, is just 5 kms from our village of Montauriol. And Thuir and then Perpignan are close by car (7 and 15 km away). Because we have several rooms, sleeping arrangements can very flexible - and babies of all ages can be catered for - in total, 11 persons can be accomodated. Please don't hesitate to check availability. And I forgot to mention - well-behaved pets are welcome. We have 2 cats, 4 tortoises (adored by the kids) and various gold and other fish. According to comments left in our 'visitor's book', I hope to have covered everything of importance, appreciated by our earlier guests - and we hope you will experience similar pleasures during a stay with us. If you have questions, we are only an email away. Guest access Our village of Montauriol is readily accessed by car, leaving the motorway (A9) at Perpignan South. Visitors from Spain exit the A9 at Le Boulou. On arrival - and after the 'welcome aperitif' - you install yourselves. Of course, parking is freely available. Having acquainted yourselves with the local (and the less local) amenities, you will probably want to explore a little - by foot , but probably mostly by car. We can advise you on local hiking trails, where to go on the coast and which other locations are worth a visit, during your stay. There's lots to see and do. And the weather is almost always fine and warm. Other things to note We are open most of the year - not only during the 'high summer'. Especially in May and June, the days are long and the pool already at 28°C! There are fewer people at all the places you will want to visit, too. If you forget some important item, worry not - we will do everything we can to reduce any stress to zero!!
