Description
Escape to the heart of the New Forest National Park, its ancient woodland and open forest, just five mins from Lymington and ten from the Solent coast. This beautifully converted oak frame barn recently refurbished to a very high standard has independent access, a small private secure orchard, a king size double bed, powerful walk-in shower and a galley breakfast bar in three large rooms with underfloor heating. 40m from the house; privacy is assured. The space The Barn is an oak frame well insulated timber building built in 2001 and completely refurbished to a very high standard in late 2017 / 2018. The Oak beams have been integrated into modern fresh decor and the bedroom has a vaulted ceiling again with beams. The roomy bathroom with underfloor heating has a large powerful walk-in shower and plenty of space to hang things up and put things down. The large bedroom overlooking the pool and paddock has a king size bed with a very comfortable mattress and wall heating. You access The Barn through a private entrance directly into the large underfloor heated lounge with a dining area and galley breakfast bar with a fridge, microwave, toaster, tea and espresso coffee making facilities plus a sink, though please note there is no hob or oven. There is a separate door adjacent to the galley leading into a small private orchard where guests can sit and enjoy the privacy, peace and quiet of the New Forest. The wifi signal is relayed from the main house to The Barn and is strongest in the bedroom and weakest in the sitting room and while it is tested regularly streaming YouTube without any issues, guests are very welcome to come to the house to get the best BT speed available if needed. Guest access Guests have the entire space to themselves assuring them complete privacy and social distancing both in The Barn and in the small adjoining orchard where they can sit and enjoy the sun on teak lounger chairs. Other things to note A simple breakfast is supplied in The Barn for guests to help themselves to when they wish that consists of fruit juice, cereal, bread for toast and butter, marmalade & jam. There is generally fresh fruit provided as well as tea (Earl Grey and breakfast), coffee (instant and ground coffee for cafetiere and espresso machine), hot chocolate and of course fresh milk (soya by arrangement). Guests are asked to let us know if they have any other requirements and we will do our best to meet them though subject to what it is, there may be an additional cost. Please note that whilst there is a microwave, toaster, fridge, espresso coffee machine, kettle, there is no hob or oven. A DVD player with a large number and eclectic choice of DVDs is provided as we do not yet have a strong enough internet service in the sitting room to enable a smart TV, video streaming etc. Tilly, our Tibetan Terrier / Collie cross is keen to welcome one or two small or medium sized, well behaved dogs booked via this site.
