Casa do Tanque T1 Terrace - Village of Arouca

Casa do Tanque, formerly a traditional family home, was recently renovated to provide those who visit us with an atmosphere of comfort and well-being. Located in the heart of the Geopark on one of the village's typical streets, where it is possible to visit the Calvary, it gets its name from bordering the "Tanque da Rua D'Arca" that preserves the memory of the washerwomen who secreted their lives there. Its location allows you to enjoy the historical, cultural and gastronomic heritage of our Village, without needing a car. The space On a visit to the surrounding territory, in addition to observing its biodiversity, you can walk the famous Passadiços do Paiva (Paiva Walkways) as well as the various Pedestrian Routes in our Serra da Freita mountain range and enjoy the freshness of its river beaches in the summer. For the more adventurous, Arouca also offers, in winter, descents through the rough waters of the Paiva River (rafting and canoeing) and in summer, descents through the crystal-clear waterfalls that populate our slopes (canyoning).
