Escape to the tranquil beach town of Pringle Bay. Only an hours drive from Cape Town and 45 minutes from Hermanus. The cottage is solar powered and is situated on the mountain with views overlooking the bay. Only a 5 minute walk from the beach. The space The property runs from High Level Road to the main road below. Guests are more than welcome to wander through the fynbos garden. The deck has beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding area, however, we would not consider the cottage ideal for young children as the cottage is not toddler proof. Guest access The cottage has four bedrooms that can be let. Access to the bedrooms is dependent on the number of guests you would like book for. The air bnb app does not have functionality that allows one to increase/decrease the size of the cottage. if you would like a 3 bedroom cottage please book for 5 people or more. The booking setting is set up this way so that guests who would only like to rent a 2 bedroom cottage don’t have to pay for a 4 bedroom cottage. ie 1 bedroom cottage- book for 1-2 people: 2 bedroom cottage - book for 3-4 people; 3 bedroom cottage -book for 5-6 people; 4 bedrooms cottage - book for 7-8 people. All guests regardless of number will have access to the rest of the house ( excluding bedrooms). Please note we do not rent rooms by the night. If you would like access to 4 bedrooms booking needs to be updated to 7 guests during your stay the entire booking should be for a 4 bedroom cottage likewise for a 2 bedroom cottage you can rent for 3. Number of guests should be accurately reflected 3 days prior to check in. We will unfortunately be unable to accommodate late changes to number guests as rooms not included in Booking are closed. Other things to note Television A TV and DVD player are provided at the property. There is both DSTV and Netflix. Wifi Wifi with UPS Load shedding/ Power outages The cottage has rechargeable bulbs in table lamps, wifi is fitted with UPS ( uninterrupted power supply) and an inverter for TV or charging of devices. These will continue to operate during power outages. Alarm To set the alarm at night while you sleep please press stay on the key pad located on the left of the back door into the courtyard in the scullery. To switch off in the morning you can use your remote. Wildlife There are a few troops of local baboons in the area who pop in from time to time. We would recommend keeping the back doors closed when you are out front on the deck to avoid any surprises. They will quite happily invite themselves in and help themselves to all your food.
