The Cedar Cabin at Pinecrest Northwoods

This 100 year old hand hewn log cabin is perched up on a bluff which looks out over Juncob Lake on one side, and The Michigamme River on the other. The top of the bluff offers a nice open area for admiring the lake, hammocking, stargazing, or a lawn game. Out the back entrance of the cabin there is a small system of trails to take you on a short hike along the Michigamme, or, you can stay inside and enjoy a warm beverage cozied up by the wood burning fireplace! The space This 900 sq. ft. rustic cabin radiates charm and makes staying indoors a cozy escape from the elements! The brick hearth offers extra warmth. The kitchenette may be compact but it is fully capable! Equipped with a two-burner electric cook top, microwave convection combination appliance, mini refridgerator, 2-slice toaster, drip coffee maker, as well as a teapot & kettle! It has everything you need to create and enjoy a full meal, around a table that seats four. The bathroom is split, with the stand-up shower separate from the toilet & vanity. The shower is located through the king size bedroom in the back. Watch the full walk-through tour video on IG: @pinecrestnorthwoods Guest access Guests have access to over 100 acres of trails through White Pine and Birch forests, an authentic Finnish sauna, the shipwreck deck, a private beach, and private river access. In the summer the boathouse is stocked with row boats, kayaks, canoes, and a paddle boat. There are many other outdoor games such as croquet and horseshoes at your disposal! Other things to note We love being able to share our cabins with everyone interested in visiting them. It is a place we find special and we hope you do to! + PETS + Pinecrest Northwoods is pet friendly! In fact, we would love it if you brought your pet! Please confirm with us prior to booking. A $25/pet fee is applied upon booking. You will also be charged for any pet damages including but not limited to: chewed, scratched, or damaged items. While on our property it is ok to have your dog off leash if they are supervised. We leave our Golden Retriever Spencer off leash during the day while we are out and about. In an effort to keep all of our guests comfortable and safe we ask you to keep any dog who is not friendly towards people, animals, or small children on leash at all times. Dog runners are available at several locations throughout the property for anyone who might like to use them. In order for us to continue being pet friendly we ask that you be mindful of these rules, as well as the other guests on the property who may or may not have pets. + FIREWOOD + We sell locally kiln dried firewood bundles on site for all of your campfires + saunas during your stay here at Pinecrest Northwoods. $8 per bundle or $20 for 3 bundles. + Sauna + We have a traditional wood fired Finnish Sauna. The space is available to use by request and costs $40 per sauna session. + CLEANING + Our standard for clean is spotless and sanitized! The entire cleaning fee goes to the cleaning person, who is paid a livable wage! + SNOWMOBILING + Pinecrest is located less than a 1/4 mile from the route 18 snowmobile trail. We have plenty of space to park trailers and encourage people to come explore the Republic area trails that connect to the greater UP snowmobile trail network. + HUNTING + We do not allow hunting on the property, but we are happy to host hunters as we are adjacent to thousands of acres of state land!
