The house is arty, stimulating, cosy and comfortable and the views are astounding! Two bedrooms are located upstairs. The main bedroom also contains a simple ensuite bathroom. Downstairs is the lounge/dining area and kitchen and a very large deck with amazing views of the Mountain and farm. The new outdoor spa is available and requires two days notice for cleaning and to heat up. Secret Little Eden is a listed "Land For Wildlife" property and the wildlife seem to know that we love them :-) The property is home to abundant wildlife including endangered species such as The Tasmanian Devil, spotted- tailed quolls, goshawks and wedge tail eagles. It is a bird lovers paradise! Complimentary breakfast provisions are provided. Our property is adjacent to over 600 acres of Tasmanian State Forest, also yours to explore. • Wander through our beautiful 60 acre property and meet our team of rescued horses. . Carbon Neutral At Secret Little Eden we are committed to achieving a positive carbon footprint. To this end we • Access electricity generated locally by Tasmanian Hydro. • Protect and care for 30 acres of natural temperate rainforest and we commit to its perpetual preservation. • Encourage Mother Nature to reclaim some areas of the cleared farmland. The beauty of this is that it requires zero inputs apart from eradicating any introduced weeds. We simply let Mother Nature do her thing and watch as the forest regenerates. • Actively plant trees especially those creating food sources for native birds and wildlife. • Reduce our consumption of new goods and reuse, repurpose and recycle. • Support our local food producers. • Source all firewood from the property and only use dead trees not occupied by wildlife. Forest Bathing - try a little nature therapy amid our forest. Based on the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku, forest bathing is about taking time to slowly and mindfully appreciate our incredible natural surrounds – no water required. Unplug from your devices and destress by reconnecting with nature. Wander beneath ancient forest canopy with lush ferns at your ankles. Place a palm against a majestic tree trunk and breathe in deeply. Take a picnic, or simply spread a blanket and lie back in the dappled forest light. Listen to birdsong, inhale the scent of tea tree and eucalypt, and witness nature's majesty. Guest access It's ALL yours! Two additional guests can be accommodated but only by prior arrangement.
