Description
Lovingly restored in a quiet street on a large, garden block. On the headland, just around the corner from the Blue Pool, minutes walk to Lamont St. shopping precinct with great coffee shops, gelati bar, good food cafes, a patisserie, sourdough bakery, wine bar, restaurants and minutes walk to Horseshoe Bay Beach and Beares Beach. The space The quiet fishing village of Bermagui is set in Australia's Coastal Wilderness, the most natural and least developed part of the NSW coastline. This 1950's weatherboard cottage built to last from local hardwood with high ceilings and classic style casement windows, is a brief 150metres walk to the constantly refreshed salt water Blue Pool; 400 metres to Beare's Beach and 400 metres to the village shops including patisserie, sourdough bakery, vegetarian cafe, whole food supplies, variety of excellent cafes etc. I am only the second owner of this charming cottage, now freshly painted with beautiful hardwood floors revealed and the living spaces furnished in the style of mid-century. The spacious bedrooms have new beds with quality mattresses and bedding. The combined living and dining area faces north, from where a separate and original 1950's style kitchen is accessed. A small bathroom with basin, toilet and shower over bath is near the bedrooms and at the other end of the house is another separate toilet and a large laundry with a shower. I live in this cottage part-time and hope others may enjoy its ambience and the wonderful ability to take a short walk for an ocean swim or a delicious local produce meal. The cottage can comfortably accommodate a MAXIMUM of 4 people with 2 Queen beds (Bedrooms 1 and 2). Being a small seaside fishing and beach village there is no public transport but you can walk to everywhere. A car is needed to drive to the many National Park beaches and estuaries as well as countless places of great beauty and interest in the region. Check out Sapphire Coast Tourism - Bermagui. Welcoming guests is part of my enjoyment in having them stay. Minimum 6 nights booking during Summer and Easter. 3 nights otherwise Guest access Guests have access to the entire cottage as well as a large, safely fenced yard with great shady and sunny spots and a covered back verandah.
