Motuoapa Escape - Lake Taupo

This Motuoapa bach has something for everyone: the boatie, the angler, the skier, the mountain biker, the family and the sunbather! The bach is very well located, a short stroll to the lake and about 40mins drive to Whakapapa ski field and the iconic Tongariro Crossing. There are also several mountain bike trails nearby, such as the famous Timber Trail and Craters of the Moon. Turangi (the "Trout Capital of the World") is only a 10 minute drive away, while it is a 35 minute drive to central Taupo. There are 2 bedrooms at Motuoapa Escape, located just off the lounge. Bedroom 1 is fitted with a queen bed, while bedroom 2 has a double bed plus a single bed, and one couch in the lounge folds out into a sofa for unexpected guests. For days outdoors, you will be just moments from the lake and marina; bring your boat and park it in the ample space provided on the section! There is also wide space for camping, if needed. This is an ideal little getaway for 2 couples or a small family to enjoy a simple lake stay... Welcome to Motuoapa Escape! Guest access Access to whole house and main garage which houses an old pool table, washing machine and dryer. Other things to note The Bach is on the main state highway which is a busy road. It has a lot of truck traffic and while improvements have been made to the road, there can still be noise from the trucks. The trucks also run through the night so if you are a light sleeper then this noise may disturb you. Please note that there is NO WiFi and cell phone reception is poor. While we do have a fan there is NO air conditioning. Guests are welcome to use our linen. We ask that guests wash and dry it before they leave. There may be an additional charge for laundering if guests are unable to do so. Please let me know when you book and I'll will arrange for the beds to be made up for you. Guests are also welcome to bring their own linen which is a good option if you need to leave early on checkout day.
