Description

Tromso is a small Island! Why not sleep on a boat? We lived ourselves in the boat a few years and its very exciting to share this experience with you. It can be adventurous but also quite romantic/cozy to let the Sea rock you to sleep. As our last guest just said: "The overall comfort and conditions are about the same as on a camp site, in a mobile home." (The boat is just for sleeping in the marina, it won't move. SAILING & BOAT TRIPS NOT INCLUDED.) The space Living in a boat requires you to be ready for some adventure, as you will be very close to Nature. The boat is in a quiet marina and is a good location to watch the Northern Lights. Inside the boat you will find most things like in a normal home. Just everything looks smaller and cozy. You will find a full equipped kitchen to cook your meals (gas stove). If you have never been on a boat, you should know that the toilets on boats are a pump type. But if you prefer to have a normal "home toilet", you should use the one in the facilities of the marina. The shower is offered as a basic standard on the facilities of the marina as well. (No shower in the boat). In the winter, the water system in the boat may freeze. In that case you must use the water and toilet facilities on the Marina instead. There is heating on the boat but it is not like a hotel/house and it can be fresh at night. We offer bed sheets and duvets but in winter we recommend you to bring your own sleeping bag and a good pyjama. We will help and guide you through everything, don't worry. That is part of the adventure! Guest access You can use all the rooms in the boat. You cannot use the instruments, like navigation tools, maps & equipment. The captain desk is just for the captain. Don`t use it otherwise you may accidental touch the panels and things may stop working. We have a room to put your luggage but its quite small. Travel with as little as you can. Other things to note BOAT LIFE FACTS: If you never stayed in a boat, we want you to know that it is normal that you hear dripping sounds or any other water sounds. This is completely normal and it does not "necessarily" mean that the boat is taking water in. After all remember that you are floating, surrounded by water. This also mean that when big cruise boats pass by, the boat will rock a bit for a short period. Make sure you never fill up your cups orelse they may spill. If it rains a lot you might notice some extra humidity onboard. This is also normal in the "boat world" - it can also happen in the form of condensation due to low temperatures outside. If you find it dripping somewhere just let us know and we will come and have a look. A boat is a complex device that needs care at all time. Take good care of it and let us know about anything. We are here to help making the best of your adventure onboard :)
