Description

The House on the Shore's magical setting right by the sea, on a private beach, looking across the Solway Firth to the Lake District mountains means it is often used as a film location, most recently in 'The Wife' where it was the Connecticut home of Glenn Close and Jonathan Pryce. It is the ideal place to get away from it all and enjoy the incredible views, great walks, wildlife (otters, red squirrels, porpoises), birdlife (Barnacle geese, lots of waders) in this lovely comfortable home. The space We look forward to welcoming you to our home. We will give you a delicious breakfast from locally sourced food in the dining room where if the sun is not shining the fire will be roaring. You are welcome to use the drawing room. There are great walks straight from the door and lots to see and do nearby. The two kingsize bedrooms both have ensuite bathrooms and the twin bedroom has a bathroom just outside the bedroom. All the bathroom have baths not showers. Incredibly comfortable beds, crisp white linen, feather duvets and fantastic views are waiting for you! This is a fantastic area and we would love to share it with you. Guest access You are welcome to use the drawing room and the garden. During your stay Jamie and I live here and work from home so we are always available if not in person than on our mobiles.
