The village and its keep offer a remarkable belvedere on the plain of Limagne, the chain of Puys, with nearby Saint-Nectaire, the lakes of Aydat, Pavin and Servières, the resorts of Super-Besse, Mont-Dore or La Bourboule. Montpeyroux is renowned for its arkose dwellings, this light stone which contrasts with the black (lava) stone widespread in the Auvergne region shaped by nearby volcanoes. Guest access The cottage consists of a cozy living room (coffee table, leather sofa making a Queen size sofa bed, with a very large flat screen) open onto an L-shaped kitchen with breathtaking views of the mountains (when the sky is clear) and the plain from Limagne. The bathroom (with designer shower and toilet) is of a good size, adjoining the living room. On the mezzanine (industrial type steel) with boat deck parquet flooring, the King size bed overlooks the TV. Depending on the weather and family composition, possible access to the large garden (table and chairs available).
