The space The wild west coast of Golden Bay is an awesome area to explore with its lime stone cliffs and deserted beaches. The journey here is part of the adventure. Turn left after the little settlement of Pakawau and we are 30Km down a spectacular winding coastal road, take your time and enjoy the trip. Guest access You have a stand alone chalet with full access to our garden, wonderful views of the wetlands and magnificent rocky outcrops.There are walking tracks through the surrounding areas of native forest and it is just a 5 mins drive to the nearest beach. Other things to note There are no shops in Mangarakau. If you want to cook for yourselves, there is a fully equipped kitchen in the chalets. If you haven't already stocked up on food etc, there is a good supermarket as you come through Takaka. If you want to make your stay a special occasion or just make the most of your days, we also offer lovely 3 coursed evening meals, served to you in the privacy of your chalet. our evening meals cost NZ$45.00 per person. We do need to know in advance if you will want meals.
