Hawks Nest Treehouse! Are ready for a semi off grid experience- No TV- No WIFI! Then this is your place. The sound of nature all around and not to mention the large creek below. Beautiful views all around. Please note: no pet or children allowed. We are very strict about this. Please no smoking of anything. If you must smoke, please do so outside and away from the door. Please bring a butt can with you to dispose of and not throw on the ground. We also offer discounts for our excellent guest The space 👇🏼 Voted top place to stay in Alabama in 2021 in only your state 👆🏼 👀 PLEASE READ EVERYTHING IN IT’S ENTIRETY BEFORE BOOKING-MOSTLY DUE TO THE PRIMITIVE BATHROOM SITUATION. IT’S NOT WHAT MOST ARE USED TO. I DEFINITELY DO NOT WANT ANYONE DISAPPOINTED WITH THEIR STAY ☺️ We now have a trail that goes to the creek. Arrowhead trail Did you know, we are in between Albertville and Guntersville and close to Sand Mountain Amphitheater and Park as well as the new City Harbor in Guntersville. Our other Airbnb sits 150 feet from this one. Be sure and check it out too. Coyote’s Cabin The shower is outdoor shower only and then off from it is a composting primitive toilet and sink. The bathroom is enclosed but it’s on the outside of the cabin but attached. You do have to go outside to get to it. Instructions will be posted on how to use toilet. Please be mindful that it’s cold in the winter at times and the water from the shower can freeze on the deck so be careful when going to the bathroom area There is a hike to get to the treehouse. It’s a bit steep. We have added large gravels to give you some extra grip. There is no way to get your car right down to it. There is a driveway and you will see it marked where to park. It’s not a far hike and it’s pretty easy trek for most. It’s approximately 50 steps from where you park and the walk to treehouse. Just be aware and wear proper foot attire. Can be slick after rain. If you are arriving at dark, bring a flashlight with you. Just be careful and watch your step! I cannot stress this enough!! This is the woods. I spray the treehouse inside and out monthly but it’s still the woods. There are insects and all sorts of wildlife. If you are scared of bugs and creatures- then you won’t like it here. It’s definitely in nature. Refunds will not be given due to insects and animals that are in nature. There’s no way to exterminate it but we do control it the best we can. I do not supply firewood but you are welcome to use any you gather from the property. If it’s wet, it be best to bring your own. Food city sells bundles for $8 and is pretty close to treehouse. Please bring charcoal and lighter fluid if you plan on grilling. I do not supply that. Sometimes there is leftovers from previous guest but no guarantee We are set up for normal housekeeping and supply a roll of toilet paper to get you thru your 1st night, soap, shampoo, conditioner and a few kcups as well as stevia and liquid creamer. Towels are provided for inside sink, shower and hot tub. 1 per person each for hot tub and shower No smoking inside. If you must smoke, please do so outside and not by the door. Please bring a butt can with you and do not throw them on the ground .No kids, no pets and only 1 vehicle allowed. 2 vehicles will not fit. Please be respectful of our property and the other guest at Coyote’s Cabin which sits off in the distance. Sound carries in the woods. We want this to be a great experience and for you to be 100% satisfied with your experience at Hawks Nest! Treehouse does have heat and air, small fridge (see pic) Keurig type coffee pot and microwave. I do supply plates, cups, bowls, glasses, silverware, knives and grilling utensils. The bed is a comfy queen size with a memory foam mattress. We have a charcoal outdoor grill. The front of the treehouse is all windows and we do not have curtains. Cabin faces the East. We have no intention of adding any window coverings. Your view is completely private Guest access If you follow the instructions that are sent shortly before your arrival, it will give you clear details on how to get right to the treehouse. Due to privacy, I cannot post signs at my house directing folks to the cabins for trespassing reasons. You will have the cabin all to yourself and code will be given upon your arrival. Other things to note This is an adult only property. No children allowed. This is a very small space. Absolutely no smoking inside or right by door.If you must smoke, please do so In your car or bring a butt can with you. Do not throw butts on the ground or trash. This will result in a $200 fine if you do so. Check out my guidebook for great recommendations. We are close to many beautiful scenic places. Guntersville State Park, High Falls, Bucks Pocket…etc.
