The Coop Country House, Millfield

Welcome to The Coop Country House. The perfect place to roost for the night! Enjoy a taste of Hunter Valley history in complete comfort. Originally the main house for the local chicken farm, the Guest Suite has been freshly renovated to include three comfortable King sized bedrooms, a relaxing sunroom, lounge and expansive bathroom. 15 minutes to historical Wollombi and 20 minutes from Pokolbin. The space Tucked away on a quiet country road, this Millfield gem gives guests the privacy of their own locked bedrooms, a lounge, luxury bathroom and sunroom. The suite is attached but separated from the larger house by an adjoining door. The owner and host Paulene, lives in the rear section of the house and is available for any questions on the area. As the name suggests the original country house was the home to a large chicken farm in years gone by. Now tastefully renovated, on the remaining quarter acre, visitors can enjoy the ambience of the original house while sitting out on the large verandah. The sunroom/porch is a great place to read a good book or play games with friends. The comfortable lounge has a fridge, Nespresso coffee machine and TV with Netflix This is truly an escape not to be missed. Guest access The front door of the house gives guests direct access to the Suite, which also has French doors leading from the Lounge onto a side deck and garden. The adjoining door from the Guest Suite to the main house will be kept closed when guests are visiting. The door is unlocked so guests can utilise facilities at the rear of the house, (an additional guest toilet, laundry and kitchen) on request. Other things to note At the rear of the house is a large deck down to the back yard and garden, which guests are welcome to use at Paulene's discretion. A Continental breakfast is available with homemade Muesli, yoghurt and berries, croissants, sourdough bread, jams, ham and cheese. Breakfast can be provided in the Suite or served at the dining table or kitchen servery. A Fire Pit, at the side of the house, can be used if weather permits (no fire bans) and at Paulene's discretion. King beds can be split into singles at a charge of $25 per bed.
