We offer self contained accommodation on our property in the Carlisle River Valley behind the busy tourist route between Lavers Hill and Port Campbell. Enjoy spacious and private surrounds, the stars at night and bird life by day in this tranquil setting. During your stay, you are welcome to explore the large surrounding garden created over the last 30 years by your hosts. This accommodation is offered to adults only. The space This location offers valley views, an extensive private garden you are welcome to share and a family enthusiastic to welcome visitors from afar. We love to explain the best experiences the Otways have to offer including waterfalls and rainforests as well as the Shipwreck Coast and the Great Ocean Road. The accommodation is 40 minutes drive from the Great Ocean Road near the 12 Apostles. Enjoy space, peace, a riverside location, wonderful bird life an easy day trip from the coast. We open our property to share its loveliness but also to meet interesting people leading different lives to own. We like to meet and settle you in but we want you to enjoy your privacy while we go about our own routines. Guest access Our queen room faces a sunny northern aspect. An overhead fan and insect proofed openings allow cool airflow in summer while radiant heating warms it in winter. Linen and bath towels are supplied. You will have access to the bedroom, bathroom (shower/toilet), open kitchen lounge and large outdoor terrace and garden. When you book this room, we block our other listings (the Double Room and the Entire Villa) so you have exclusive use of the dwelling. Amenities include flat screen tv, radio reception, dvd player & library, cooking facilities and a rambling garden you are free to enjoy. We live in a remote valley where the telephone mobile signal is unreliable. Telstra customers receive signals at this property. We do not have access to the NBN. The room very comfortably suits single or double travellers. The accommodation is suitable for adults only. No pets are allowed. Bookings for 4 guests can be sourced on the separate listing ‘Great Ocean Road Hinterland, Entire Villa’. You will need your own wheels to reach us. Other things to note If possible, it is better to plan to arrive before nightfall for safer driving conditions (wildlife and navigation). Heading back out to the 12 Apostles for sunset after checking in is worth considering. Check in time preferred before 9pm or by prior arrangement. During Summer, all tourists to this entire region need to be aware of High Fire rated forecasts and be in contact with us if this impacts on their stay.
