The Croft

The Croft is a beautifully appointed, self contained space overlooking a meadow. Recently refurbished to a high standard, it’s a comfortable and cosy base. Situated in the New Forest National Park, the Croft is located up a leafy lane in a pretty village close to Lymington, the Solent and Beaulieu; it’s only a 10 minute walk into the New Forest. Inside there’s a super-king size bed (or two singles), a tiled shower room, an open plan living room with kitchen area under the stairs. The space The private access opens into a spacious and bright living room with a kitchen area at one end. Underfloor heating keeps the room snug in winter. You will find a kettle, toaster and microwave, under counter fridge (please mind your head!) and a single induction hob plus a Ninja Airfryer. Tea and coffee and basic breakfast items are provided. There is a Smart TV on the wall, WiFi, and from the window or while sitting on the terrace you might well see deer, a variety of bird life and rabbits. The window overlooks a large field where a local vet keeps her horses. You are welcome to use the Weber barbecue on the small terrace which catches the sun until late. Inside,the winding staircase leads to a small landing with a door into a tiled shower room with electric shower, washbasin and wc. A second door opens into an attractive bedroom containing fitted cupboards and a very comfortable super king-sized bed which can easily be adapted into two singles. Guest access A shared drive approaches The Croft and there is ample parking space just outside. The sunny terrace has a table and chairs for guests’ use as well as a barbecue in the summer months. The sign at the gate in Tweed Lane is Tweed Cottage and the Croft is on your right up the drive past some ancient apple trees. Other things to note Electric Vehicles You are welcome to top up your EV using the power point from inside the Croft while you are here, but please note there will be a charge of £10 each time, payable direct to us.
