The Hemphouse (47′ x 15′, 14.3m x 4.6m) has a delightful open-plan living room, kitchen and dining area, with a beautiful big window looking out over the valley towards Brentor. There is one single bedroom downstairs, with en suite toilet/shower. This room also contains a washing machine + tumble dryer. Upstairs, the landing area is bookended by a double bedroom at one end, and twin bedroom at the other. There is an upstairs bathroom with sink, toilet and bath. 7 nights gets 30% discount. The space We called it The Hemphouse because we decided to insulate the rough stone walls of the interior with an innovative mix of shredded hemp and lime to a thickness of 100mm. It has proven very effective as an insulation layer, and the hemp, being a natural material, gives the space a healthier feel than you would get from the currently available man made, industrially produced, alternatives. Guest access You have the interior of the house to yourself. There is an unfenced grassy/cobbled area outside where you can sit or play. Other things to note Extra logs for the woodburner can purchased on site. £4.0 for a basketful. We keep a few goats, ponies and chickens in a barn and paddock behind the old buildings. Access is restricted, but you're welcome to come and see them as long as you ask and one of us is there at the time.
