Casa Coral ☀ Cozy Little House | Carrapateira

This cozy little house is Portugal at its best: on a cobbled street, right across the church in the beautiful village of Carrapateira. It's a great place to relax - quiet and with a beautiful view over the town. You'll enjoy a typical Portuguese home, with an open-space designed interior, fully equipped kitchen and a wood-burner for the winter months. The beach is in walking distance, restaurants and shops just around the corner. Please notice our maximum capacity of two adults & two kids. The space The house is our private home, which we rent out when we are not there. Although small, we feel very comfortable living here with our two kids and would like to share this wonderful place with you. The house is made up of an open-space living and dining area with kitchen downstairs. When you walk up the open staircase, you'll get to the bedroom and bathroom on the upper floor. The house is cool in the summer and gets really warm and cozy in the winter when you heat up the wood-burner. You will find a lot of individual details and regional materials in the house, like the wooden ceiling with beams from Monchique. Inside, you will find all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay, like a fully equipped kitchen, washing-machine, hairdryer, surfboard-rack, ... You can have your coffee outside on the bench in front of the house and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the church garden right in front of you. The Coral Tree is just opposite of the house - and was our inspiration for the name of our house - Casa Coral. Walk only a few steps up to the church from where you have a breathtaking view of the beach Praia da Bordeira. Be sure not to miss the sunset up here! Are you traveling with kids? We love to stay here as a family with two kids. We have a babybed and a high-chair for you to use as well as a baby-bathtub. However, we want you to bear in mind that the upper floor is like a gallery and not completely closed towards the stairs, next to the double bed, but has a railing (as you can see in the pictures). How many guests can stay in our house? Two adults and up to two kids (plus a baby) can will have a comfortable stay here. Because the two beds (bed + mezzanine) are located in the same room, we want to limit our number of guests to two adults. How sporty do I have to be to get to the mezzanine? You don't have to be super-sporty, but you should be able to climb a ladder up and down - and you should feel fine doing it in order to get to your bed. For safety-reasons, kids are not allowed to stay in the mezzanine unsupervised. Guest access You will stay in the cottage, which is located in the middle of the historic center of Carrapateira. You can explore the whole place on foot and also take a walk to the beach. Parking is also available around the corner or on the main road. Other things to note Additional information for our winter guests: Unfortunately, we have no way to store wood on our property. However, you can easily get wood or briquettes at the Intermarché in Aljezur, LIDL in Vila do Bispo or at gas stations. Please note that there is no other heating option than the wood-burning stove.
