Fire pit is now available during the winter months. Please take caution when using the fire pit to never leave it unattended or use during windy conditions. Access to our property is via a good sealed road from Mullumbimby apart from the last 100metres which is easily used by conventional vehicle. There is a small creek crossing to reach the cabin which is easily passable other than in rare circumstances with extreme heavy rain. A alternative access to the cabin can be utilised if the creek is impassable by vehicle for a short period of time - generally just a few hours. If you are after more seclusion and a larger space, then please check out our other cabin under 'Secluded Magical Rainforest Retreat' Guest access The cabin is located on our 24 acre property which is entirely free for guests to explore and enjoy, apart for the private space surrounding our other cabin 'Secluded magical retreat' further down the creek when guests are present. The main house is occupied by your hosts and friendly dog, Dave. We also have 2 x cat and some feathered chickens. We are keen to share any seasonal produce when in abundance. Other things to note We are a family of 4. We live on the property permanently. Though the cabin is within a close proximity to our home, it has a separate entrance and the outlook is in the opposite direction so is very peaceful and secluded. We love our pets and have a couple of friendly cats, extremely friendly dog and a collection of interesting chickens. Please be aware that as you are stepping into a natural wonderland abundant with native wildlife so you may also have some close encounters with insect and other small creepy crawlies like ants and spiders which are a natural part of this amazing environment. We do our best to safely remove any spiders that have entered the cabin but can not eliminate this issue entirely due to the location and the inability to fully seal the cabin from the outside world. Ants may also be a small issue from time to time, but we try to keep on top of any issues with them as they happen. We use cockroach baits regularly, lay ant baits when they become a problem and provide insect spray for mosquitoes and mortein for spiders if guests encounter one. We do believe however that we are guests in their environment and like to respect all creatures, large and small. The small section of dirt road into the property is dirt and can be a bit rough with some potholes after the wet season. We have a small family hatchback which we drive in and out our property daily without issues. There is also a small seasonal creek to be passed by concrete causeway which is generally dry but can be high flowing and impassable during heavy rains for a couple of hours. I will advise guests of any creek issues on day of check in and if the causeway water is too high to drive over, we have an alternative walk bridge to use so cabin access is still possible. If you have an extremely lowered car you may have to check first with us to ask if the road has been recently graded and is clear of potholes. Registration details PID-STRA-31164
