Newly renovated traditional karst cottage with balcony. It is located in the center of the village of Borgo Grotta Gigante, a small, quiet hamlet a few hundred meters from Grotta Gigante and a few kilometers from Opicina, Prosecco and the Slovenian border. Served by highway exit Sgonico (3km) and direct bus to Trieste. Possibility of free bicycle storage on request. The space The house consists of two floors with one bedroom (double bed plus additional sofa bed) with balcony, living room with smart-TV, kitchenette with induction stove, electric oven, microwave oven and dishwasher, private bathroom with washing machine. Recently the accommodation has been adapted to accommodate small children (addition of safety gate, high chair for meals, crib...). Guest access The house is located in the center of Borgo Grotta Gigante. You can easily get there by your own means by exiting the A4 at Sgonico and following the signs to Grotta Gigante. There is ample free parking on site. The facility is served by a public bus line (42) from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. with frequency about every 45 minutes. Despite the presence of public transportation, it is still recommended to have your own vehicle. Other things to note Surrounding the property is a farmhouse where you can buy fresh homegrown products; there is also a restaurant and a wellness center in the village. You should try the typical osmize that allow you to taste locally produced meats, cheeses and wines. As for physical activity, there are numerous hiking, mountain biking and road biking trails in the area, to be appreciated especially in spring and autumn.
