Townhouse in Le Pont-Chrétien-Chabenet

One of two adjacent cottages on the millstream with access by footbridge to the island and patio with bbq. Our well equipped cottage on three levels is just the place for a couple, a group of friends or a family of up to 5. Situated on the outskirts of a small village and easy stroll to the shop, bread depot and small restaurant. We live next door and are on hand should you need anything. Look for the kingfisher, spot the red squirrels, do a spot of fishing or mess about in the boats. The space Directly on the millstream with lovely views of the river. This is the perfect place to relax and watch the ducks go by. The cottage is spacious enough to give everyone space but cosy enough for a couple. There is a wide range of books on hand and a boules kit. Our cottage is decorated with local art. This cottage is on three levels. The double bedroom, single bedroom and shower room with toilet are upstairs. The gound floor has the kitchen/diner, the twin bedroom with wash basin and a toilet. Downstairs from the kitchen is the sitting room with wood burner, French doors to a patio and access to the bridge and mill island.. If stairs are a problem then this is maybe not the place for you. There is no tv or dishwasher. Guest access As well as the cottage guests have access to the millstream and mill island where children can make dens and have treasure hunts, play in the boat or paddle in the river. The two patios give quiet places to sit or have a bbq. We have two adult bikes which guests are free to borrow. Other things to note IMPORTANT The river is unfenced so we feel it is unsuitable for children under six. However you know your children better than us so if you think they will be fine then talk to us about it. The bridge only has a handrail on one side. So once again if you think this is a problem please talk to us before booking. Young children need to be under supervision on the island and bridge. The property is on three levels so if stairs are a problem then maybe this isn't the place for you - again chat to us about it. It shares a wall with the cottage next door so you may hear a little noise. It is also on the small road which is one of the walking routes.
