Description

2026 - Book 4 nights for 15% discount. Exclusive, cosy & restful hand built wooden cabin. Escape modern life stresses, reconnect with nature & step back in time at Ty Haf. Situated on a beautiful non working smallholding between New Quay & Llangrannog, a tastefully decorated & charming tiny house. Take a dolphin sight seeing trip from the quaint fishing village of New Quay, visit several beautiful beaches or explore the towns of Cardigan & the colourful Georgian seaside town of Aberaeron. The space Ty Haf has a wealth of homely touches, you will feel wrapped in a warm cwtch as you step through the door. The interior is bright and airy with a lovely open plan kitchen/dining area/sitting room, an electric "wood burning stove" for those colder evenings and a cosy double bed. The large shower room has a spacious power shower. Ideally suited to couples, although the full size single bed offers separate sleeping for a child or small adult. Take time out to relax in your own private garden, read or play croquet. Unwind on the verandha and watch the sunset as you listen to some old 78's on the gramophone whilst you sit enjoying your favourite tipple. Snuggle up for stargazing by the firepit. We are a haven for wildlife to visit our large pond, adjacent to Ty Haf (stock fenced for safety) the bird feeders outside the bedroom and living room attract a variety of birds all year round. Several of our guests have seen, or heard our large hedgehog, bats fly over the pond and tawny owl can be heard in nearby woodland. Visitors to our fields include badgers, foxes, rabbits and woodcock. Red kites can be seen regularly and look and listen for peregrine falcons flying over. The verandah balustrade and wooden fencing surrounding the patio boundary are being replaced in early spring 2026 and new photographs will be taken. Ty Haf is well maintained and cared for, the interior was professionally re-painted, in the same colour scheme, in October 2025, this included the exterior windows and doors. Guest access Sole use of ty haf, private garden and off road parking for more than one car if you are staying with a friend, or a large vehicle if you are touring. Other things to note A perfect day? Head to Cwmtydu early to watch the sunrise on the coast path and take a dip in the turquoise sea off one of the nearby secret beaches. Pop back to Ty Haf for a lovely cooked breakfast, on the patio , with eggs from our pet chickens. (as long as they are laying 😊). Plan your days adventure be it adrenalin seeking or relaxing, sightseeing or sporty. If you aren't tempted by any of the gorgeous menus at nearby restaurants head back to Ty Haf for a bbq, game of skittles on the verandah, or croquet on the lawn. Watch the sunset as you strum a few tunes on the guitar then light the firepit for a cosy night of stargazing and watch the bats or listen out for the woodcocks. Ty Haf, the perfect stay. Please be advised we do not provide towels, the bbq is put in storage over winter , please ask if you would like to use it and we will make it available 😊. Please advise, if only booking for 2 guests, if you require the single bed made up for your stay. Thank you.
