The house "Tra cielo e terra 2" was obtained from the renovation of the ancient stables of the dammuso "Tra cielo e terra 1". All the rooms overlook the patio: the kitchen, the double bedroom (belonging to the oldest unit), and the new double bedroom. Each room has its own independent bathroom. The total floor space with the open patio is 50 square meters. "Tra cielo e terra" is located in Kareb, between Scauri and Rekale, a 15-minute drive from the center of Pantelleria and 5 minutes from the sea. The space My dammuso in Kareb is a real dammuso, dating back to the late nineteenth century. Restoring it was easy, the architecture and its interior details remained unchanged. The only massive intervention involved the exterior, that steep triangle where cows once skated, and which is now a terraced garden with gigantic plants: bougainvillea, hibiscus, myrtle, lantana, serenella, cactus and other succulent plants, figs and prickly pears, a reed, a magnificent mulberry tree, two lemons, an orange and an African palm tree full of children... The two units – the dammuso above and the one below – do not bother each other, they integrate while remaining two separate entities. The mystery of the valley in which the dammusi overlook, surrounded by a rocky mountain halo that turns pink at sunset, is that the nearby sounds stop, do not disturb, while those far away – a dog barking, a rooster crowing, a street vendor passing a kilometer away – arrive muffled and almost magical. Guest access The entire house is available for guests to use, while the upstairs house has a separate management. The price includes the rent of the house, occupied by the number of people booked, the consumption of water, electricity and gas, bed linen and towels and the pick-up from Scauri. Services such as cleaning are not provided, while linen changes are provided after 7 days of stay for stays longer than a week.
