The house is located in the historic center of Nicosia (North) inside the Venetian walls. It has a very central location which shops, restaurants and bars are in the neighborhood. The space This house was built more than 100 years ago when Cyprus was under the Ottoman Empire and it renovated when under the British Empire. I bought this house in 2015 and did my best to preserve the buildings fabric when renovating. I named my guest house Pedieos. Pedieos or known as Kanlıdere among Turkish Cypriots is the longest river in Cyprus with total length of 100km. (The river started to form about 1.5-2 million years ago due to the upthrow displacement of the island.) The river originates in the Troodos Mountains close to Machairas Monastery and flows northeast across the Mesaoria plains, through the capital city Nicosia. Due to the expected Ottoman attack, Venetians diverted the river bed outside of the walled city of Nicosia. According to legend, before Venetians changed the river bed the river was flowing through this Street. Guest access Garden, roof terrace and lobby area.
