Mountain-View Glamping | Walk to Waterfall Trails
Description
Set within the hillside grounds of Desa Eko, the Mountain View Tent offers a peaceful glamping stay overlooking the cool highland landscape of Munduk. Raised on a platform, the tent opens to mountain and jungle views, surrounded by permaculture gardens and clove, coffee, and cacao plantations. Guests enjoy direct access to waterfall trekking routes, hotel-style hosting by our on-site team, and evenings dining at The Botanist, our locally renowned farm-to-table restaurant. The space Desa Eko is a high-altitude slow-travel sanctuary in Munduk, North Bali, a boutique eco-lodge designed for nature-based stays, digital detox, and quiet escapes from the island’s busy coastal areas. Located in the cool highlands of Bali, Desa Eko offers a peaceful alternative to the heat, crowds, and noise of destinations like Canggu, Seminyak, and Ubud. Here, guests experience fresh mountain air, cooler temperatures, and a slower, more intentional rhythm of life. Mornings begin with mist over the hills, and days unfold in stillness, surrounded by nature. Set across a 1.5-hectare hillside, Desa Eko is immersed in clove, coffee, and cacao plantations, alongside thriving permaculture gardens and jungle walking paths. It is designed for travelers seeking an eco-friendly stay in Bali, a sustainable glamping experience, or a quiet retreat in nature, without compromising comfort. Beyond accommodation, Desa Eko offers a complete nature-based experience. The property is home to Munduk Reserve, its organic, community-driven coffee brand, and The Botanist, an on-site restaurant in Munduk known for its farm-to-table dining. Here, guests enjoy seasonal dishes made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients, reflecting the surrounding land. Good to know before you book We want the stay to feel effortless, so here are the honest details upfront: • Cool nights: Munduk can feel chilly after sunset, bring a light sweater. • Nature reality: You’re in nature; you may see geckos and small insects. Nothing harmful, and usually minimal due to the higher altitude. • Sound: Expect rainforest ambience and occasional rain (it’s part of the mood here). • Dogs on site: We have two gentle resident dogs who live on the property and may wander the grounds. • Access: The property is on a slope; some paths/stairs are involved. Pack light and wear shoes with grip. • Outdoor bath: The soak tub is open-air and private, but outdoors by design. • Wi-Fi: We run Starlink, but as with any remote area, extreme weather can still affect stability at times. • Transport: Munduk is best enjoyed with a scooter or driver; travel times are longer than South Bali, but 100% worth it. Perfect for Couples and solo travelers who want a quiet, nature-first rhythm: waterfalls, cool air, good food, early nights, and mornings that feel like a reset, plus a boutique eco-lodge atmosphere with an on-site team. If you love coffee, you’ll also enjoy tasting Munduk Reserve, our organic, community-oriented coffee brand rooted in the local area. Not ideal for Guests looking for nightlife, shopping, or “busy Bali” energy, this is the opposite. Also not ideal if you’re uncomfortable with a true nature setting. Guest access You’ll have access to our 1.5-hectare hillside land, designed with abundant permaculture gardens and walking paths throughout the property. If you’d like to go deeper, just ask for our guidebook, we can help you arrange a permaculture tour, cooking class, and other local activities. At the bottom of the land, you’ll find a yoga platform by the river, use it for your own practice, meditation, or simply to sit quietly with nature. And yes, our land also connects directly to the waterfall trek (we’ll point you to the trail). Other things to note Payments & cash: We accept card payments on property, but many local services (drivers, activities, rentals) prefer cash. ATM: There is no ATM in Munduk village, please withdraw before arriving. Quiet vibe: Quiet hours start at 10:00pm, this is a calm, nature-first stay. Durian-free property: No durian anywhere on the grounds due to the strong lingering smell. Registration Details NIB: 2507230239464 KBLI: 55192 KBLI: 55192 KBLI: 55192 KBLI: 55192
