Farm Stay - Working livestock farm

Come stay in our apartment connected to the barn on our active working farm. We are located 3 miles from the state capitol building in Montpelier, but you would never know it up here. You can cross country ski, snowshoe, hike, or bike out your front door, and we are located within 45 min. from Sugarbush, Stowe, Mad River Glen, & Bolton Valley. You can also check out the local beer & spirits scene, or just relax at the farm. Guests are always welcome to tour the grounds and see the animals. The space The apartment sits above our self service farm store and is attached to the working barn. Enter through a private entrance, climb a flight of stairs, and enter our 1 bedroom / 1 bath cozy space. A private balcony overlooks the front and is a great place to sit and relax. The kitchen has an electric oven and stove with full size fridge / freezer, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. It's stocked with pots and pans and the usual kitchen utensils. The bathroom has toilet, sink, and shower / tub. Bedroom has queen size bed, closet to hang clothes, and a window A/C unit in the summer months. A pull out queen size couch is available for extra guests. There is a TV available for streaming services, but we do not have cable. Please understand that this is Vermont, and WiFi, although available, is sometimes intermittent especially at night. Please note because the space is attached to a working barn, there can be sights, sounds, and smells that remind you you're in the country. Guest access Guests have access to the apartment and the property around it. Everyone is welcome to explore the grounds, but check with Mike about accessing the barn. Please know we are a working farm first, and our animals must be respected at all times. We use electric fence around our property and small children must be watched. Other things to note We raise organic grass fed beef, all natural pork, pastured chicken & turkeys, and free range eggs and sell these products at our farm store. You are welcome to purchase anything to eat while you're here or take some home with you.
