Welcome to the traveler! You will be tired after a day traveling through these icy northern lands. Come by, come by and enjoy our hospitality in our cozy Viking inn. Come rest from the madding crowd and everyday life and let yourself be carried away by the experience of living like a ninth century Nordic but enjoying the basic comforts of our era. We are Christian and Nadia, your hosts. We have created this cozy space with all our love for you to enjoy The space Our cosy inn has been built with a lot of love and dedication. We have strived to recreate the best possible accommodation using the finest materials available to us, without losing sight of basic needs. Wooden beams and columns, leather and horn are the main features of the inn. The spacious inn, attached to the main house, is located on our 1,200-square-metre plot at the foot of La Maliciosa. We live in the heart of the Sierra de Guadarrama, bordering the countryside and with no neighbours around, so peace and relaxation are guaranteed. Just step outside our plot and you will be surrounded by nature. The room has various corners that will immerse you in the life of the hardy people of the north. Rest in a king-size bed with cosy, warm skins that will captivate you. Purify your body with the rain from our open stone shower, integrated into the room. Relax by the fireplace while reading about the exploits of these intrepid sailors and warriors or playing a game of Hnefatafl, the Viking game par excellence, or other board games. Enjoy a barbecue outdoors with your hunted game or a bonfire under the starlight. It also has a private bathroom with everything you need: soap, shampoo, towels, hairdryer... The room does not have a kitchen, but you will have a microwave with grill and barbecue, where you can cook various dishes or have a barbecue worthy of a Viking, electric kettle with herbal teas to make yourself a relaxing cup of tea, a fridge to keep your game and beer nice and cold, and a toaster and Nespresso coffee machine for a good breakfast, as well as glasses, cutlery and crockery. If necessary, we can provide you with a portable oven, a camping gaz or a butane stove for outdoor use. In addition, in the village you will find several restaurants, shops and places where they prepare delicious homemade food to eat in or take away, and good craft beers! We can provide you with information about them. Our inn is ideal for a couple and we have a cot that we can place in the room. An extra bed can be added if necessary. In addition, you can enjoy, exclusively for you, about 55 m2 outside in our meadow where you will have a rustic table made of tree trunks and stumps, benches and a wooden table with chairs so you can relax and breathe in the fresh air. Enjoy a nice lunch outdoors while admiring the views of La Pedriza or relax under the starry sky while sharing a bonfire in a wrought iron basket. As we want you to have a rustic experience, we invite you to collect eggs from our chickens at least once during your stay to cook them or take them home. These hens are lovingly cared for by our children, Ainara and Altaïr, and lay 100% natural, low-cholesterol eggs. The ideal food for a northern person. And as a welcome gift, you can count on a cold beer upon your arrival. We are passionate about Norse mythology and we wanted to bring our passion here to our surroundings. Years ago, we got married with a Viking ritual and celebration. Much of our trousseau and furniture are here at your disposal. Upon arrival, you will simply need to sign a simple contract, indicating that your stay is for a non-tourist purpose.
