The Birdsong Home is located on the slopes of Mirik town in the Darjeeling district. The space The Birdsong Home overlooks a mountain range where you can see the lights of Kerseong glittering at night from the outdoor terrace. The house overlooks the terraced garden, planted with organic vegetables, orange trees and flowering plants. Enjoy a stunning view of the Darjeeling mountain range from your very own private home. This independent flat has two bedrooms, and a sofa bed in the living room. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and looks out over to the mountains. The open plan living room, kitchen and TV area is connected to another bathroom. The house is rather isolated, and surrounded by only two to three other houses. This makes it especially serene. A dense forest is just a 2-min walk away. Mirik lake is a 2km uphill walk. The lake has boating and horse riding options for children. The television area is set up with a flatscreen TV with streaming service and bluetooth speakers. The kitchen is set up with a hot plate, fridge, water filter, kettle and utensils. Our outdoor restaurant is open from 8 am to 8pm daily. We make Chinese, continental and Indian food. The momos are a local favorite! Guest access Walk through our private forest and orange farm. Hammocks are placed at viewpoints for your enjoyment. Common lounge and yoga hall with games and books. Visit a tea garden and factory. Visit Darjeeling town and shop for some stunning jewellery, carpets and antiques. Other things to note The apartment is in a remote location. Insects, cats, dogs, and even deer come visit the garden at times! It's best suited for physically fit people as you would have to walk down several steps to reach the house.
