The space The Gîte de la Cabartière is located in the heart of the peaceful village of Mouthoumet, on the GR36 long-distance footpath, at an altitude of 550 meters. The house is ideally located to discover the Royal Fortresses recently listed by UNESCO, swim in beautiful natural gorges and discover many hiking trails in unspoiled nature, in the heart of the Corbières Fenouillèdes Regional Natural Park. The accommodation includes one bedroom, a kitchen/living room and one bathroom. Opposite the vacation rental, across the small street, you will enjoy a pleasant, fully private St. Tropez-style terrace, not overlooked by anyone. Equipped with garden furniture, deckchairs and a barbecue, it is ideal for enjoying your meals or relaxing in complete peace and quiet. You will enjoy a large spa bathtub for your leisure time, free fiber Wi-Fi, and a DVD library for your evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, a fridge with a freezer compartment (ideal for keeping ice packs or ice cubes in summer), a microwave, a small oven, a coffee maker, a kettle, a toaster, and everything you need to cook. A washing machine is also available to guests. A fan is provided for people who are sensitive to heat, although the thick stone walls and the construction on the rock naturally keep the place cool in summer. Cell phone signal is limited inside the unit, as is the case in many mountain villages. Calls via Wi-Fi work perfectly, and the mobile network is accessible within a 20-second walk towards the parking area. The bedroom includes a double bed (140 × 190) with high-quality bedding. A convertible armchair can be used as an extra bed for a child. The cottage is conveniently located for exploring the Cathar castles, the gorges and their magnificent swimming spots, as well as the many hiking trails in the Cathar Country. After a day of hiking or exploring the Cathar castles, relax in the spa tub before sharing a barbecue on the terrace under the starry sky of the Cathar Country. If you're looking for a completely isolated house in the heart of nature, our other accommodation, the Gîte de l'Érable in Laroque-de-Fa, will probably be more suitable. On the other hand, if you appreciate the charm of authentic small villages, peace and quiet, and nature, you will feel at home here. Guest access Independent entrance. It is located on the ground floor of a house on a small street in the village. You can stop for a few moments in front of the cottage to unload your luggage, then park for free in the municipal parking lot located just a 1-minute walk away. Access to the accommodation is through the door on the street side. On the 1st floor, there is another cottage whose access is separate from yours (access to the other cottage is from the back of the house, you from the front). Each unit is fully independent.
