Quaint 1-bedroom cottage on Blue Ledge Farm
This adorable cottage is on Blue Ledge Farm- a working goat dairy. It is a one-bedroom with a double fold-out futon in living room to potentially fit 4 guests. It is within 15 minutes of both Brandon and Middlebury, 1 hour south of Burlington. Pets are allowed, on leash. It can possibly include a farm and cheese tasting for an extra $20 per person (contact host in advance). It is the perfect place if you're an animal or cheese lover looking for a rustic and relaxing stay on a beautiful farm. Apartment has a sliding door entrance, one bathroom with tub and shower on the left, on the right is the bedroom with a double bed (brand new July 2022). Straight ahead is the kitchen with fridge, electric stove, microwave, and basic appliances, pots and pans and all utensils. To the right a cozy, private living room which can be used as second bedroom if needed (fold out futon couch). The apartment looks out over owners’ garden, across goats' pasture to woods. AC in summer, radiant floor heat in fall and winter (cozy on the feet!) with extra space heater provided if needed. Parking for one vehicle is just steps away- around the front of the "cottage barn". The neighborhood is all dirt roads, very quiet. We will give guests space. It’s a working farm so lots of activity but the apartment faces away from the hustle bustle and is very quiet. Goats are available to view during milking times (6 am and 4 pm). Rural, friendly. A dirt road neighborhood in farming community. You will need car to access town. There is great walking and biking in the neighborhood. We are a working farm, home to 150 goats, several friendly barn cats, and a thriving cheese business. If you love animals and farm life this is a very unique opportunity to experience authentic Vermont! We are happy to allow pets but they must be on a leash at all times. We are close to several ski areas (25 minutes from the Snow Bowl, 45 from Killington, 50 from Sugarbush) as well as lakes, rivers, mountains, and several classic Vermont towns. Opportunities abound!
