The Rainforest Guesthouse is a situated in the beautiful sub-tropical rainforest area of the Far North Coast. You are surrounded by gorgeous gardens and 100 metres from our beautiful swimming hole and rainforest. You may spot a koala, platypus or wallaby and you will definitely see many beautiful birds. Sorry no dogs as we have a dog that loves people but not other dogs. 15 minutes to Minyon Falls and the Nightcap National park. 30 minutes to iconic Nimbin. 35 minutes to Byron Bay. The space The guesthouse is light and airy in summer and warm and cosy in winter. There is abundant fruit in season from the numerous fruit trees. The property has the biggest and most diverse rainforest nursery in the area, a lush regenerating sub tropical rainforest and a beautiful creek. The guesthouse looks onto colourful and lush gardens both from the bed and from the verandah. Guest access Guests are welcome to access the swimming hole (watch for platypus, turtles, water dragons, azure kingfishers) and explore the creek and rainforest areas. Feel free to wander in the gardens. You are also welcome to walk around the Firewheel Rainforest Nursery and see the tens of thousands of rainforest trees ready for planting. Please be mindful that seasonal conditions can affect the waterhole which means it is not always suitable to swim in. There are alternative swimming holes you can visit at Bexhill and in the surrounding area. Other things to note Please drive into the property and down towards to main house, following the signs. On arriving at the house you will see the guesthouse up on the right . Please feel free to drive along the grass to the cabin and park as close as you like. Make yourself at home. A third guest can have a single mattress on the floor with bedding provided. Please note the cabin is located on a working farm in a private but sometimes active setting close to the nursery and our home. At times this does mean normal farm activities such as machinery operating nearby can occasionally cause some disruption Seasonal conditions can affect water levels and accessibility to the swimming hole. Being in a rural bushland environment insects and ants can occasionally make their way inside despite our regular cleaning and pest management. Registration Details PID-STRA-14999
