Generous open living incorporating large kitchen, dinning & lounge. Generous modern bathroom, separate laundry and toilet facilities. Guest access Set on 2 acres, Sea Mist was purchased as a subdivision in 1998. The garden and house were also designed then and given council approval the following year. The extensive gardens incorporate both design ideas that Edna Walling used, and Bill Mollison and David Holgren developed with their Permaculture principals. The gardens were established over a number of years to follow, aiming to be as sustainable as possible. Although the block has town water connected, for most of the year, it runs totally on tank water. The wastewater is recycled and used on many of the gardens. We have organic orchard and vegetable gardens that use companion planting and successive crop rotation. Guests are free to spend time in the garden and pick what is in the garden to use in cooking meals. Other things to note I run after school art classes 4 afternoons a week, Monday to Thursday. This means there will be parents dropping off and picking up students at 4:30pm and 6:30pm on these days. Parents park in a separate car-park at the bottom of the drive. Students will walk quietly through the garden to and from the studio. In most school holidays I also run Art Workshops as a general rule these are three hours and include a large variety of mediums from traditional painting and drawing through to sculpture techniques, printmaking, weaving, silk painting, spray paint art etc. Once again participants are asked to park in the car park at the bottom of the property and walk to the studio through the garden. Although the apartment is self-contained and does not include breakfast, I can provide breakfast on request for a separate charge. There is a breakfast menu in the information booklet provided if you are interested. Breakfast must be ordered by 8 pm the night before. Please send me a text so that I can pick up the order.
