This 50 square meter/530 square foot apartment, nicknamed Napoleon, is located in pedestrian-friendly downtown Fontainebleau, a 5 minute walk from the famous castle and 15 minutes away from INSEAD. It was completely renovated in the summer of 2014, and includes a fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and living room/workspace— all on two levels and with a lovely view over the rooftops of this charming city. Drop off your suitcase, put your feet up, and enjoy! The space This 50 square meter/530 square foot apartment is on the third floor of a building 5 minutes away from the castle a 15 minute walk from INSEAD. The building is located on Rue de la Corne, one of the main streets of the city's historical center and in the pedestrian-friendly downtown, where the locals do their shopping and dine out. There are grocery stores, a butcher, fishmonger, wine merchants, greengrocers, bakers and delicious pâtisseries throughout this stunning neighborhood. This apartment was completely and tastefully renovated in 2014, updated with high end fixtures and furniture. The entrance to the duplex is a separate room that includes the stairs leading to the upper level, a wood-and-glass sliding door to the kitchen, and the door to access the living and dining room. The main level (33 square meter/350 square feet) houses a fully equipped and brand new kitchen; it includes a refrigerator, dish-washer, convection range, and an electric oven. There is plenty of counter space and a full-sized sink below a large window overlooking the rooftops of Fontainebleau. The main living room, dining room, and office space has a large couch with a fold out bed (double bed with a 12 cm/5 in. mattress). It also includes a large dining room table with 4 chairs. The integrated office space boasts a solid wooden desk paired with a classic French armchair and a modern bookshelf. This large room is bathed in sunlight and has a hardwood floor and two windows with a view of a charming pedestrian street. This space also includes an armoire, a flat panel TV with a large selection of channels, and a fast Internet connection ready to be used for WiFi. The bathroom has a shower a glass enclosure and a pebble-studded floor, a large sink with a vanity and a toilet. The upper level hosts a large 180 square foot bedroom in the space below the roof. The bedroom includes twin beds, a love seat (perfect for reading, but convertible for use as an extra bed). There are two skylights with great views over the roofs of Fontainebleau.
