A large one bedroom corner apartment in a 24-hour doorman high-rise building in the heart of West Village. Views of downtown from the living room and the Empire State Building from the bedroom. The space Enjoy your time in New York by staying in my large and comfortable 4-room apartment in the West Village, one of Manhattan's best neighborhoods. This is a one bedroom, one bathroom apartment with great modern furnishings, a home office, and original artwork throughout. The best feature might be the views. From the living room, you can see all of Lower Manhattan from a long wall of south-facing windows. The bedroom is in a corner, with two walls of windows, including a view of the Empire State Building. The space comfortably fits 4 adults: 2 in the bedroom, and 2 on the pull-out living room couch. The living room is bright and comfortable, with plenty of seating, a 46" LCD TV, surround sound speakers, digital cable, AppleTV, a home computer, and a stereo system that includes a large CD and vinyl record collection. There are also speakers in the bedroom so you can hear music in every room. The dining room table seats 6. There is a queen-sized bed in the bedroom as well as a queen-sized pull-out living room couch. The kitchen is brand new, with granite counters, and stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, a wine refrigerator, and an automatic coffee/espresso/cappuccino machine. The bathroom includes a tiled and glass-enclosed walk-in shower. The home office has a 27” iMac available for use during your stay. The bookshelf has board games and jigsaw puzzles. There is high-speed WiFi with a strong signal throughout the apartment. There will be closet space for you in the bedroom as well as dresser drawers. Heat and a/c are controlled by separate thermostats in the bedroom and living room. The apartment building is on a quiet side street. It is a hi-rise with 24-hour doormen and elevators. There is a coin-operated laundry in the basement. There is also a drop-off laundromat directly across the street. I will not be present during your stay, but will be readily available by phone, email, or text. Depending on your arrival time, I will be there to greet you or I will leave detailed instructions with the 24-hour doormen and in the apartment. The West Village is arguably the best and most beautiful neighborhood in New York, known for its fantastic restaurants, shopping and nightlife. Step right outside to all of the places that make the West Village famous, or walk to Washington Square Park, SoHo, the Meatpacking District, the High Line, Chelsea or Union Square in less than ten minutes. This location cannot be beat. The 1, 2, 3, A, B, C, D, E, F, L, and M subway lines are all within a few blocks. There are several public parking lots in the area. There is free parking on the street. There is a Citibike station on the corner. I grew up in Brooklyn and have lived in NY all my life, and in this area since 1994, so I can tell you a lot about the area and the city -- just ask ! Guest access You will have access to the entire apartment, except for one closet in the hall where I store my personal effects. There are two closets in the bedroom. I empty one for you, and you are free to use the other one too; just move my clothes to the side. Similarly, there are a lot of dresser drawers in the bedroom. I empty 4 of them, but feel free to use the others as well by moving my clothes to the side. Other things to note I only make my apartment available when I am out of town.
