Barend Sandyhills Log Cabin Free Golf

The 'Dragons Lodge' is a beautiful Scandinavian Log House set with others within 36 acres of parkland approximately 800 yards from the unspoilt beach at Sandyhills Bay. Balconies offer stunning views across the Solway Firth. Furnished to an excellent standard this is the perfect base for a relaxing holiday. The biking and walking trails of Mabie and Dalbeattie Forest (7stanes) are close by. Colvend golf course is free to lodge guests. The area is recognised dark sky area. The space The living area features 2 x 3-seater leather sofas and 2 chesterfield armchairs. There is a HD 50" smart TV with surround sound and sky tv. The lodge has just been fitted out with Sky ultra fast fibre optic broadband minimum guaranteed download speeds of at least 100 meg. The Dining area has a table and space for 6 people. There is a small but well equipped kitchen which features - larder fridge, larger fridge freezer (in the airing cupboard), toaster, microwave, induction hob/oven/grill, half sized dishwasher and Dolce gusto coffee machine. There are three bedrooms, one on the ground floor which has twin beds and 2 double rooms upstairs. One double has an en-suite with walk in shower. The other double has a toilet and hand basin. Downstairs is a family bathroom /wet room with walk in shower (There is no bathtub in the lodge). The rear of the property features balconies which stretch the width of the cabin. They offer fantastic views across the countryside, Solway Firth and the peaks of the Lake District on a clear day. Guest access Guests have access to the whole cabin. Other things to note Dumfries and Galloway Council Licence number: DG01233F Every effort has been made to ensure that you have an enjoyable and safe stay at the Dragons lodge. The premises will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised prior to your arrival. All bathrooms and kitchen will be disinfected, anti bacterial hand wash will be placed on wash basins. We are members of the local 18 hole Colvend golf club and this entitles groups of up to four people staying at our premises unlimited free access to the club during their stay. The club will have its own rules with regards Covid safety. Guests have access to free fishing on Barend loch, a short walk from the cabin. The Crab Pot pub and restaurant is located on site at Barend. Close by is Bainloch Deer Park where visitors can book 4x4 guided tours to see the various deer, including Red Deer. There's also a bistro cafe with views over the lower part of the Deer Park. Please note, as the lodge is privately owned and has no connection Barend holiday lodges, our guests cannot use their swimming pool.
