Rural detached barn|woodburner|close to beaches

The Hayloft is our lovely stone detached barn. It is perfect for exploring all of Cornwall. Set in a peaceful location with far reaching views of the Cornish countryside and over to the coast at Newquay. The walled patio is perfect for BBQs, your four legged friends and sitting enjoying the views, the most incredible sunrises with a coffee or stargazing with a glass of wine. The Hayloft is light and modern with stripped wooden floors, high beamed ceilings & a cosy woodburner for winter evenings. The space The Hayloft is a two storey, detached barn. It has a quirky upside down layout so the open plan living/kitchen/dining area is on the first floor. The Hayloft has a private, enclosed patio area to the side of the property, which has a table and chairs and charcoal BBQ to enjoy a meal at or just to relax. The patio looks over the garden and beyond that to fields. It is accessed from the kitchen /living room via the outside steps or through a gate from the driveway . Here at Trerice Holiday Barns there is also a communal garden (only shared with guests from our other two properties) that is about 1/4 acre and has swings and picnic benches. Kids love running around here while others just like to sit with a glass of wine and enjoy the view! There is also parking for ONE car on site. There is no street parking in the area so if you need to bring more than one car, please get in touch and we can try and accommodate this. Beyond that are the most amazing views of open countryside for miles and the most incredible sunrises. This is also the view from the living area in The Hayloft. There is an entrance on both levels so you can use whichever suits you. Inside, on the first floor, there is a generous open plan living/kitchen/dining room with 2 leather sofas and a 42" flatscreen Smart TV so you can log into your own Netflix or Prime and a docking station with DAB radio and CD player as well as board games, books and playing cards. Fast WiFi throughout the property . There is a logburner that makes the space lovely and cosy in winter months. There is a newly fitted (2025), fully equipped kitchen with an extendable dining table, dishwasher, full size fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, electric oven and electric induction hob. There is also a breakfast bar with 4 bar stools. On the ground floor there is one King size bed in the main bedroom and two full size single beds in the twin room. The luxury bathroom has fully tiled walls and has a walk in shower enclosure with a rainfall shower as well as a separate bath for a lovely, relaxing soak. It is also on the ground floor located between the two bedrooms. We can also provide a travel cot (you need to bring your own cot bedding) and this fits nicely in the main bedroom. 100% cotton bedding on all the beds and big, fluffy bath and hand towels are provided but please bring beach towels. Both of the single beds have double duvets on so that kids or adults alike don't get cold in the night. Winter and summer duvets are available all year round to suit each guest. There is oil fired central heating throughout the barn, that is always available and it heats up really quickly so is perfect for winter breaks too. There is always plenty of hot water for showers/baths after a day on the beach! And a hairdryer for afterwards! All of the wooden floors are stripped and oiled and practical with kids or sandy/muddy shoes. There are steps on the inside of the Hayloft and stone steps up the outside of the barn if you want to use the entrance in the living room so unfortunately The Hayloft is not suitable for people with mobility issues. There is a stair gate available for the top of the staircase. We can accommodate up to two dogs in The Hayloft at no extra cost. All 3 of our properties at Trerice Holiday Barns can be booked together for larger groups/family get togethers. We can accommodate 14 in total including 2 folding beds. Guest access The 3 barns here share a communal garden (as well as their own private, enclosed patio area) and a large secure storage shed that contains bodyboards, a BBQ for each cottage, buckets and spades, outdoor games including Giant Jenga, badminton and swingball. This shed is also perfect for guests to store bikes/surfboards/canoes etc. and you will be provided with a key for it on arrival. There is one parking space per barn. Please get in touch if you wish to bring more than one car as we can probably accommodate this. Guests have their own driveway that is separate from ours. Other things to note We can provide a cot with mattress and a high chair if required at no extra cost - please let me know when you book. Please bring your own cot bedding. The hob in the kitchen is an electric induction hob, which can interfere with pacemakers so advice is to remain 2ft away from the hob if you are fitted with a pacemaker.
