This old barn destined for demolition was deconstructed and then rebuilt according to traditional methods. The interior design has been redesigned to offer you a quality property in a unique setting. The space The Mayen à Jean was designed as a place that can accommodate up to six people, where everyone can find their place according to their own desires and needs. This renovation also allowed us to highlight the contrast between the identity of the past, which is found with the presence of exterior timber, and the contemporary spirit in the interior coverings. In the living area, generous openings overlook a terrace overlooking the Val d'Hérens. The base includes the master bedroom which extends onto a covered terrace overlooking the valley. The bathroom is lit by a slit cut into the earth to provide diffused light throughout the day. The old barn includes the main living space composed a fitted kitchen, a dining table and a relaxation area. In the living area there is a mezzanine that can either serve as a dormitory or a double room as needed. Hot pots (extra charge): We provide 3 hot pots divided between the 6 chalets. Use is not included in the price of the accommodation but is extra. The price is based on the length of stay. They are not private, everyone is responsible for preparing it, the wood is at your disposal at the entrance to the site. This mayen offers multiple possibilities in a setting that will, we hope, seduce you. Guest access Private parking is a 450 m walk from the chalets. A location map with photos and GPS coordinates will be emailed to you as soon as the booking is confirmed. Plan backpacks instead of suitcases, as it is easier to carry, you are at 1700 m. A bus stop is 500 m away from the mayens, access is easy. Have a safe trip and a nice stay Other things to note In the price of your rental, cleaning is provided. We don't provide hotel services! Since the beginning of the rental of our mayen everything went well apart from one rental, so here are some small details. - Please empty the trash and put it in the molok in the center of the village of La Forclaz. - Please do the same with recyclable packaging: glass, paper, cardboard, aluminum and PET: bins are available at the exit of the village of La Forclaz - Please wash the dishes carefully and store them in the kitchen before you leave - Please put away books, games, etc. - If the floors are really full of kitchen waste, crumbs, please sweep and pick up so as to return the chalet to a respectful state :) There is no need to strip the beds, sheets,...
