Family Waldkauz's guest house in the middle of the forest

Our accommodation is located in the middle of Germany, close to Kassel and surrounded by nature. You will love it because of the heavenly tranquility, the gateway to the forest and yet only 20 km away from Kassel by car or tram. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups. Unless they are uncontrollable fighting dogs, animals are welcome to us and regularly feel very comfortable. The space We have found our personal paradise here and invite you to experience it for yourself. We hope the pictures are meaningful and look forward to your questions if something is not clear from them. The area of the house is actually manageable at 45 square meters, but due to its structure, the additional bed on the gallery above the entrance area and of course the spacious terrace, its size feels just right according to the feedback of our previous guests: For loving couples and families with and without pets, for reunions, as a romantic hideaway and last but not least also as a place to come alone to rest, clarify questions or find directions. Based on our own experiences and interests, we are happy to be available to you as a sparring partner if you wish and we can somehow arrange it. Please don't get us wrong, we usually leave our guests completely alone. Only if it is expressly desired and fits, we like to bring impulses and ideas from philosophy studies, travel, yoga training and coaching activity into your personal journey and look forward to a really good conversation again even if we no longer travel or even a new friendship arises. Guest access You have our guest house completely to yourselves, and can visit us in our neighboring house whenever you need anything or feel like spending time with us. By car, you are welcome to use the parking lot at the transformer station, which is shown in the check-in description. Other things to note This year our guest house celebrates its 5th anniversary, and it has changed a lot during this time. The new construction of the terrace in the first year has given the cottage a worthy outdoor area, which is the place where life takes place in the warm season. The complete renovation in 2021 has not only harmonized and updated the look, but also made it possible to implement some wishes of previous guests: The bedroom is now significantly larger and also much nicer thanks to the custom-made furniture. The bathroom now has underfloor heating, and the kitchen has a dishwasher. We personally find the oak floorboards in the living room and bedroom and the warmer light in the bedroom the most beautiful. Since 2023, the sauna has finally been in barrel form. We thank all previous guests not only for the consistently beautiful experiences, but also for your contribution to financing these and all future embellishments. Following Airbnb's algorithm, the overnight price has also increased significantly over the past 5 years and makes the constant renewal investments possible. Thanks also to all past guests for the regular feedback on the consistent value for money. Nevertheless, we are occasionally concerned that today's price could be an insurmountable obstacle for people who should be visiting us. Please feel free to contact us if you feel that you would be right with us, but you simply cannot afford it. We are open to finding a reasonable discount for students, trainees, job seekers, single parents and those economically affected by the coronavirus in order to enable you to visit us. Our experience shows that for 99% of our guests, no house rules would have to be formulated. We are very happy about the regular very respectful handling of our cottage and its surroundings, and we are deeply grateful. However, there are some special features that we would like to explain to you in detail so that you can understand why we ask you to pay attention: - Please respect our elderly neighbors on the last stretch: Some of our neighbors no longer feel comfortable driving and can get stressed if you meet on the last stretch between the roundabout and the house and somehow have to pass each other. Please be considerate here and take it nice and slow. Better to get out once more, look and think about which car can swerve most easily. - Please avoid open fire and other fire hazards: In the worst case, the fire department could only "burn down in a controlled manner" due to the location. Please only ignite open fire on the property by prior arrangement with us and depending on the risk of forest fire.
