There are 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining area and a living room. The space The Fortified House in the historical 16th Century Borgo Fontanini is on three levels. It is built into the hillside so you may enter from the ground and from the first floor. On the ground floor there are two bedrooms and a full bathroom with shower. One of the bedrooms has a queen bed and a door to the garden. The other bedroom has a queen bed too. The bedrooms are equipped with fans. Stairs lead up to the first floor, which has a kitchen, a dining area, and a full bathroom with bathtub. Doors open from the kitchen and main room to an outdoor patio fully furnished for dining al fresco. Stairs lead up to a living area with the fireplace. It is a loft area open to the main room below. The recently restored fortified house is in a small 16th century hamlet in the mountains of Emilia Romagna between Bologna and Modena just a 55 minutes drive from their center. The hamlet, called “Borgo Fontanini” is characterized by the presence of water sources. This historical piece of architecture is located next to a wooded area, with impressive views of the valley and rolling mountains. The ancient village of Montombraro, with stores, bars and restaurants is at a walking distance. There is a large public swimming pool with jacuzzi and water slides, pizzeria and take away service (about 800 m.) which is at a walking distance from the house. The property offers a breathtaking view over the valleys and mountains of the Apennines. The location is therefore very peaceful, perfect for relaxing or taking long walks in the woods.The main village of Montombraro, with its shops, swimming pool and tennis courts is at a walking distance. We organize cookery courses and visits to Parmesan cheese, Balsamic vinegar and local wines producers. Emilia Romagna is well known for its good food and wine production, and in the immediate surroundings there are several restaurants that serve delicious food and wine.
